Pharma insists science, not politics, must guide vaccine development

Leading drugmakers working on vaccines for the novel coronavirus have come together to pledge that they will uphold the integrity of the scientific process as they do so.

In a statement, the firms said they wanted to make clear their commitment to developing and testing vaccines in accordance with high ethical standards and sound scientific principles.
