Pandemic over, life-saving Vaxzevria vaccine finally bows out

Citing a surplus of alternative vaccines for COVID-19, AstraZeneca (LSE: AZN) is moving to withdraw its Vaxzevria jab from sale.

Earlier in the year, AstraZeneca  voluntarily withdrew its marketing authorization for Vaxzevria in Europe, a decision which has now come into effect.

Other authorities have also stopped supplying the vaccine, including in Australia.
