Oxford scientists focus on urgent need for Epstein-Barr virus vaccine

SpyBiotech, a biotechnology company specializing in innovative vaccine platforms, has entered into a research agreement with the University of Oxford.

Backed by Oxford Science Enterprises and Google Ventures, the company was spun out of Oxford University in 2017, with a focus on vaccines for infectious diseases, cancer, and chronic conditions.

The latest deal is to develop a vaccine against Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), using Oxford University’s research capabilities alongside SpyBiotech’s proprietary SPYVLP platform.
