The US Food and Drug Administration has issued a priority review voucher (PRV) to rare disease specialist AveXis, part of Swiss pharma giant Novartis (NOVN: VX).
Priority review vouchers are awarded to firms which have applications for rare pediatric disease products accepted by the US FDA.
The PRV entitles the holder to designate a new drug application for priority review and provides for an expedited six month review period.
