Neoadjuvant Opdivo with chemo effective over three years in lung cancer group
US drugmaker Bristol Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY) has announced three-year follow-up results from the Phase III CheckMate -816 trial.
This data shows that sustained clinical benefits were delivered with three cycles of Opdivo (nivolumab) in combination with platinum-based chemotherapy for the neoadjuvant treatment of patients with resectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
"This regimen is poised to change the way non-metastatic NSCLC is treated"With median follow up of 41.4 months, Opdivo with chemotherapy reduced the risk of disease recurrence, progression or death by 32%.
