Junshi gains UK nod for Loqtorzi in two cancer indications
Shanghai-based Junshi Biosciences (SSE: 688180) has received UK regulatory approval for Loqtorzi (toripalimab) in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).
The UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) approved the medicine, in combination with chemotherapy, for the first-line treatment of recurrent or metastatic NPC, as well as for unresectable advanced or metastatic ESCC.
It is the first drug approved in the UK for NPC and the only first-line therapy for ESCC irrespective of PD-L1 status.
