Interim data show first primary endpoint met in Imfinzi trial
AstraZeneca (LSE: AZN) has announced that the immuno-oncology drug Imfinzi (durvalumab), under development by the Anglo-Swedish firm’s biotech arm MedImmune, has performed well in a pivotal trial in lung cancer.
The company's share price rose almost 5% on the news.
The immuno-oncology candidate Imfinz (/durvalumab) was trailed asas a second-line treatment for certain non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients.
