Immunic exercises intestinal diseases drug

US biopharma Immunic (Nasdaq: IMUX) has opted to exercise an exclusive global option to license a group of compounds, designated as IMU-856, from Daiichi Sankyo (TYO: 4568).

The New York-based company intends to begin Phase I studies for this program in the first half of this year, having exercised the option under an agreement that was signed with the Japanese drugmaker in late 2018.
