Canada-headquartered Genevant Sciences, a privately-held company of the Roivant family and a nucleic acid delivery company with world-class platforms and a robust and expansive lipid nanoparticle (LNP) patent portfolio, has announced a collaboration and non-exclusive license agreement with Massachusetts, USA-based Tome Biosciences

Genevant will combine its proprietary LNP technology with Tome’s programmable genomic integration (PGI) technology to develop an in vivo gene editing treatment for an undisclosed rare monogenic liver disorder.

The terms of the agreement and a completed evaluation agreement provide for a total deal value for Genevant of $114.3 million, as well as tiered royalties on future product sales.
