Jeffrey Capello has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of US biotech company Biogen (Nasdaq: BIIB).
Mr Capello has 26 years of experience in finance including in the CFO roles with Beacon Health Options and Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, Boston Scientific Corporation, and Perkin Elmer. A certified accountant, he also spent time running his own company and working with the accounting firm PwC.
But some will be struck by another detail on his CV – his two years spent as a professional ice hockey player in the 1980s.
