Celgene takes option to acquire a Swiss biopharma firm

Switzerland-based Anokion has announced an exclusive global research collaboration with the Swiss affiliate of US biotech major Celgene (Nasdaq: CELG).

Under the terms of the agreement, privately-held biopharma firm Anokion received a $45 million upfront payment and is eligible to receive a future payment of an additional $10 million based on certain preclinical development achievements.
