Canada’s federal budget for 2017 has been welcomed by a biotech trade group for supporting the advancement of the industry.
According to BIOTECanada, Canada can now become one of the world’s most successful modern biotech regions by transitioning its traditional industries into the new economy while drawing on its considerable strength of its investment in research.
Part of the country’s biotech ecosystem are a number of regional clusters which bring together universities and research institutes, entrepreneurs and a significant multinational industry presence.
