BRIEF—ReNeuron appoints new chief medical officer

UK cell-based therapies company ReNeuron today announced that Dr Richard Beckman has joined the company as chief medical officer.

He replaces Dr Julian Howell who has left the company to pursue another opportunity.

Dr Beckman brings to ReNeuron more than 25 years of executive and consultancy experience in drug and device development.

Prior to joining ReNeuron, he was the CMO of several innovative biotech and device firms, including Clearside, Ophthotech and Neurotech.

Dr Beckman will be based in ReNeuron’s recently established US office in Boston, Massachusetts, where he will lead the company’s clinical and medical affairs team.
