BRIEF—Jan van de Winkel becomes chairman of Hookipa

Viennese immunotherapy specialist Hookipa Biotech has appointed a new chairman, Dr Jan van de Winkel, the current president and chief executive of Genmab.

Dr van de Winkel said: “I am honored to take on the role of chairman at this exciting time in the life of this very promising company.”

“I believe that Hookipa’s Vaxwave and TheraT technologies are among the best in the field."

As co-founder of Genmab, he served as president, R&D and chief scientific officer until becoming chief executive in 2010.
