BRIEF—Biogen CFO steps down on eve of results

On the evening prior to the presentation of its second quarter results, US biotech Biogen announced that its chief financial officer Jeffrey Capello would be stepping down.

Mr Capello, who has been in the role since December 2017, will be replaced by Mike McDonnell, but he will stay with Biogen until September to assist with the transition.

Mr McDonnell will join the Boston-based CNS specialist from IQVIA, where he is also chief financial officer.
