The BioMarin (Nasdaq: BMRN) hemophilia A gene therapy Valrox (valoctocogene roxaparvovec) could become the world’s priciest drug, it is being reported.

Currently, Novartis’ (NOVN: VX) gene therapy Zolgensma (onasemnogene abeparvovec) holds the title of the world’s most expensive, with a US list price of $2.1 million.

If approved, Valrox could rival this with a price between $2 million and $3 million, BioMarin’s chief executive Jacques Bienaimé said in an interview at the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference, reports The Wall Street Journal.
