BIA calls for budget to 'unleash British science'

The UK BioIndustry Association (BIA) has called for entrepreneurs and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to be supported in the upcoming Budget.

New Chancellor Rishi Sunak will announce the Budget on Wednesday and, although much of the focus will be on measures to mitigate the impact of the coronavirus, the BIA is calling on the government not to forget UK science.

The Treasury has promised that this will be a Budget that invests in the scientific achievements of the future.
