Albireo shares rocket as study sets up second Bylvay approval

Boston-based Albireo Pharma (Nasdaq: ALBO), a rare disease company developing novel bile acid modulators to treat pediatric and adult liver diseases, closed more than 14% higher after Tuesday’s trading.

This followed the firm’s announcement of positive top-line results from the Phase III ASSERT study evaluating the safety and efficacy of Bylvay (odevixibat) in Alagille syndrome (ALGS) patients, from birth to early adulthood.
