Acquisitive Almirall enters option agreement to buy Bioniz

Spain’s largest drugmaker could be about to get bigger with the news that Almirall (BME: ALM) has entered into an option agreement to buy Bioniz Therapeutics to further expand its pipeline in dermatology.

Bioniz is a privately-held Californian biopharma developing peptide treatments that selectively inhibit multiple cytokines to treat immuno-inflammatory diseases and T-cell malignancies.
