Report details widespread uptake of biosimilars in Europe

New research has found that access to biosimilar medicines across Europe has increased significantly.

The recently published document, which was funded by the European Commission, details clinical use of biosimilars and highlights increasing competition from a variety of manufacturers in this area.

Analysts expect the number of companies developing such medicines will increase from around 30 at present.
