UCB's piracetam approved in Japan
UCB Pharma's Myocalm (piracetam) has been approved in Japan for thetreatment of cortical myoclonus, which results from cerebral anoxia. The product is already marketed in Europe, Asia and Latin America under the brand-name Nootropil. It will be marketed in Japan by Taiho Pharmaceuticals.
