James Kehoe (pictured above), chief financial officer (CFO) of Takeda Pharmaceutical (TYO: 4502), is leaving his role with the Japanese pharma company to become global CFO of Walgreens Boots Alliance (Nasdaq: WBA).
The Irishman has been in the Tokyo-based position since June 2016 but will leave at the end of the month and in June will take up his new job stateside with a company that calls itself the largest pharmacy-led, health and wellbeing enterprise across the USA and Europe.
Mr Kehoe said that he felt there was “no more important company at the junction of health care and retail than Walgreens Boots Alliance”, calling it a “pivotal moment” in its history.
