ROGAINE STIMULATES ERECTION BUT CAN LEAD TO PRIAPISM

- Doctors in the USA have reported that use of Rogaine (minoxidil), a vasodilator also used for the treatment of baldness, on the penis can induce an erection in impotent men. However, a spokesperson for Upjohn, the manufacturer, said that although it was carrying out research into the drug's application in impotence, it should not be used for this purpose as it can easily cause priapism and was not recommending the drug for this use until its investigations were complete.
