Convicted of fraud, Shkreli hails 'astounding victory,' faces up to 20 years in jail

Martin Shkreli has been convicted on three of eight counts in a month-long securities fraud trial at the US District Court in Brooklyn, New York.

Mr Shkreli, who avoided prosecution on some of the more serious charges, said “I'm one of the richest New Yorkers there is, and after today's outcome it's going to stay that way.”

Appearing on a YouTube Livestream hours after the verdict, he condemned the case as a ‘witch hunt’ and lauded what he described as an ‘astounding victory.’
