TOBIN RESIGNS FROM BAXTER
- James Tobin has resigned as president and chief operating officer of Baxter, effective immediately. Mr Tobin is quoted as saying he was looking for a "new challenge," although company chairman Vernon Loucks hinted that there had been some friction, saying that "when a company takes a strategic course as significant as ours, it is essential that all the top managers fully support it."
