Merck and Pfizer collaborate with Dako to develop avelumab

Germany's Merck KGaA (MRK: DE) and US pharma giant Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) have partnered with Dako to develop avelumab, a trial stage immunology compound to treat various kinds of cancers.

No financial details were disclosed.

The pharma companies in a joint statement said they will develop an immunohistochemistry-based companion diagnostic (CDx) in immuno-oncology Darmstadt, Germany, and New York, USA.
